Earlier I posted a recipe for bread. Well, today it is all about the pizza dough.
Pizza Dough
- 1 1/4 tsp Bread Machine Yeast
- 2 Cups White Bread Flour
- 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat or Multigrain Bread Flour
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 7/8 Cup water
- 1/2 tbsp corn meal
- 1 clove minced garlic
Suggested toppings:
- Shredded Mozzarella
- prepared pizza sauce (half of a small can)
- Sliced turkey kielbasa
- Bacon
- Sliced pickled banana peppers
- chopped left over chicken breast
- chopped onion
- Feta Cheese
Follow the bread machines directions for making a pizza dough, using all of the ingredients but the cornmeal. Once that is done, roll it out and put it on a greased baking sheet (or pizza stone) that has had the cornmeal sprinkled over it. Add your toppings, and bake in the over for 20 – 25 minutes at 350F.
