Pizza Dough

Earlier I posted a recipe for bread. Well, today it is all about the pizza dough.

Pizza Dough

  • 1 1/4 tsp Bread Machine Yeast
  • 2 Cups White Bread Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat or Multigrain Bread Flour
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 7/8 Cup water
  • 1/2 tbsp corn meal
  • 1 clove minced garlic

Suggested toppings:

  • Shredded Mozzarella
  • prepared pizza sauce (half of a small can)
  • Sliced turkey kielbasa
  • Bacon
  • Sliced pickled banana peppers
  • chopped left over chicken breast
  • chopped onion
  • Feta Cheese

Follow the bread machines directions for making a pizza dough, using all of the ingredients but the cornmeal. Once that is done, roll it out and put it on a greased baking sheet (or pizza stone) that has had the cornmeal sprinkled over it. Add your toppings, and bake in the over for 20 – 25 minutes at 350F.
